If you are using Adobe Digital Editions on a Mac to read an ebook, sometimes you will see an error code if you got that software from the iTunes store.

To fix the problem, uninstall it and download the software again from the Adobe Digital Editions website - but do not use the App Store button. 

Use the text link above it that reads "Download Adobe Digital Editions [version number] MacIntosh."

Then follow the instructions to install it.
