Articles from Library Business Databases

  • On the library homepage, at the Subject Guides menu, select Business, Management & Economics.
  • Within that guide, visit databases such as Business Source Complete, ABI/INFORM, or Gale Business Insights.
  • Within those databases, try searches combining the executive's name and their company. For example, "Jeff Parker" AND Kroger.
  • To eliminate popular and trade magazine articles from your results, click Scholarly or Peer Reviewed to the left of your search results.

Local and Regional Executives

  • Local and regional newspapers will be your best sources of background on these executives. For example, if you want to research the executives of Stewarts Shops, the Albany Times Union, Schenectady Gazette, Saratogian, and Troy Record would be good resources.
  • To search newspapers, click the Newspapers link on the library homepage.
  • Try the Regional Business News database, and the New York State Newspapers database, or try regional newspapers for the area of the country where that business is located.
  • Within each database, search for your topic. For example: "Stewarts Shops" AND "Gary Dake"
